It's All Coming Together

We’re starting to feel the pressure of production week as the date of our screening gets closer. All of the invitations have been sent out, we’re editing the documentary and putting it all together, and we’ve started to plan the evening of the screening. The past few weeks have been really exciting, as we’re starting to feel things really come together.

The documentary has been fully storyboarded – including pictures and videos we’ve received from personal contacts. Most of the work left to do is in the hands of the production team. The interviews have been cut and need to be put in the order that we’ve chosen, the visuals need to be added in, and we're working on music. We basically have everything we need in order for the video to be complete; we just need to put it all together!

We have finally raised all the money needed in order to pay for our camera! The bake sales and pizza lunches have paid off, and we are now officially debt-free.

Now that our whole class is back together (from the March of the Living) we’ve been checking things off our to-do lists at a very fast pace. The two people who went on The March are working on printing labels for the DVDs and are working on music for the film. They’ve caught up on the two weeks that they missed and are making a lot of progress in regards to the physical DVD making process.

The screening has started to be organized; we’re writing thank you speeches, planning the food we’ll serve, and organizing the guest list. We have beautiful posters to advertise for the screening that have been placed around school and in Concordia. Invitations have been sent and seating charts are being arranged. The whole project is really starting to come together. Our goal right now is to have the movie fully edited by Thursday so that we have a few days before the screening in case of an emergency. We are certainly looking forward to the next few days as they are sure to be exciting, and hopefully we will have a documentary made by the next blog update!
