Publication of a new book by Josias Semujanga
It`s a pleasure to announce the publication of a new book by Josias Semujanga, ''Le génocide, sujet de fiction? Analyse des récits du massacre des Tutsis dans la littérature africaine.'' (Genocide, subject of fiction? An analysis of narratives about the Tutsi massacres in African litterature). This work is dedicated to the traces of memory of the Rwandan genocide in francophone African litterature. Through its symbolic nature, litterature finds the words to tell the radicality of genocide despite the unspeakable nature of the event.
Josias Semujanga is a co-researcher for the Life Stories project and a member of the Great Lakes of Africa Working Group. He is also a permanent professor who teaches francophone litterature and literary theory at the University of Montreal. Among other works on the francophone novel and the Rwandan drama, he has published Origins of the Rwandan Genocide (2003). For more information about his new book: www.editionsnotabene.ca.
